Some quotes:
"A halfwit is someone who spends half his time trying to be witty." - An irritated Nancy Drew from one of the 1930's movies. Nancy Drew and The Hidden Staircase, I believe.
"That was really close to... almost average." - Kyle, the Music Man director, after we danced 76 Trombones. Hey, we're getting there. (Speaking of which - one of the shows I'm in is ALMOST SOLD OUT!)
"There is some blue sky, let us chase it!" - Marianne, from Sense & Sensibility (1995 movie)
And, ah, I don't really have any news or anything interesting to write... except that I'm obsessed with the Andrews Sisters right now. I don't know how it happened. My little sister thinks I'm insane, but Desirae is cooperating and sings "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" and "Way Down Yonder In New Orleans" with me when I want her to. ;) (My mother is actually singing the latter in the kitchen at the moment.)
Goodnight, moon. Goodnight cow jumping over the moon. Goodnight bowl, goodnight spoon. Goodnight nobody. Goodnight mush. Goodnight, little old lady whispering "hush."
Or however it goes...
"The Song of the Fay" Sequel is here at last!

Please don't tell me I gave you the Andrews Sisters bug... 'cause I've had it for a few years now.
Oh, and I'm so looking forward to the show. :D
No, I didn't get it from you. :D My mom had been wanting to listen to their CD for a while, and I finally remembered to bring it with us in the car on Wednesday. Then I caught the bug. ;)
Ooh. How long do you think you'll have their music stuck in your head? It's never taken me less than a week. lol.
There was a famous trumpet man from out Chicago way. He had a boogie style that no one else could play. He was the top man of his craft, but then his number came up, and he was gone with the draft. He's in the Army now, a-blowin' revelie, he's the boogie woogie bugle boy of Company B!
Miss C.N.W. - As long as I keep listening to them! :P
Oh! I like the Andrews Sisters too!
I first heard them in LWW...Oh Johnny Oh.

Ah! I quite like the S&S quote! Good one! :D
My favorite Andrew Sisters songs are Mele Kalikimaka (with Bing Crosby, interesting enough), Oh Johnny, Chattanooga Choo Choo (like how they say "immediately" in this one), Aurora...and I don't remember any of the others.
Andrews Sisters?? I remember they used to be in all the Abbot and Costello movies, and I got realllly tired of them... but now I keep finding myself singing "Oh Johnny" from LWW. "Oh Johnny, oh Johnny, please tell me dear; what makes me love you soooo? You're not handsome it's true, but when I look at you, I go oh Johnny oh Johnny oh!"
Hey, just thought I'd let you know, I read this post then went on iTunes to search the Andrews Sisters and now I'm hooked! :)
Haha! I love Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy!
